There are a lot of things that CEO Stephen Klein does really well, but at the top of that list is his ability to take the time to say “thank you”.

This week, MB hosted a special lunch to recognize and thank members of the Gold Plate Dinner Production Team for their amazing work at last week’s Gold Plate Dinner. The Gold Plate Dinner, and its huge contribution to the University of Ottawa’s Heart Institute and the Hellenic Community of Ottawa, were born out of the efforts of so many people, and so a heartfelt thank you was certainly in order. After some reflection, Steve announced to the MB Team that we are going to host a lunch to say “thank you” to the production team for their involvement and leadership.

This is a fast-paced world and events can seem to come and go in the blink of an eye. At the heart of “world-class” experiences are the people who took time and care to turn that vision into a reality. At MB, our work family is something that we talk about often. Each staff member knows that it is important to put care into those relationships; that care is an invaluable part of a high-performance environment. And for Steve Klein, that “work family” extends beyond the four walls of MB’s office.

The production team represents just a handful of the people whose hard worked touched the 2014 Gold Plate dinner. And so, from MB to everyone involved in the Gold Plate Dinner: THANK YOU. Thank you for your work, thank you for your ideas, and thank you for being part of this excellent event.

We look forward to next year’s Gold Plate Dinner, and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together in 2015.
